VISUAL BIOFEEDBACK BALANCE CONTROL TRAINING VS. KINESIOLOGY TAPING IN PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM SCIATICA

چکیده
Low Back Pain (LBP) is commonly classified as civilization disease. Many authors assume that about 80% of the population over forty have at least one major episode pain in lumbar area. those patients demonstrate lumbosacral radicular symptoms. Sciatica usually develop a result disc-root conflict and can disturb posture balance. The objective this study was to assess effect visual biofeedback balance control training suffering from sciatica on This randomized clinical with group, single-blind. Sixty (54% females) age between 20 83 met inclusion exclusion criteria. In experimental group (VBF) addition comprehensive rehabilitation, feedback used. (KT) except rehabilitation kinesiology taping applied within region. For outcome measure center foot pressure deflection, execution time, Bohannon's standing one-leg test, distribution limb loads, Functional Ambulatory Category, Timed Up Go, spine mobility, Laségue symptom, neurological symptom examination Visual Analog Scale has been results: using platform had statistically significant impact leg, gait, coordination pain. Dynamic kinesiotaping COP sway, balance, Feedback more beneficial than dynamic kinesiotaping, although not significant. VBF no effects sway loads observed. No gender, side (left/right) nor BMI Statistically observed both groups below 55. noticed.

Effects of Lower-Leg Kinesiology Taping on Balance Ability in Stroke Patients with Foot Drop
Objective. The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of lower-leg kinesiology taping on balance ability in stroke patients with foot drop. Design. Randomized controlled trial study. Method. Thirty stroke patients with foot drop were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group underwent kinesiology taping, and the control group underwent placebo taping. Balance ability wa...
متن کاملBalance Training via Multimodal Biofeedback
We have previously demonstrated that vibrotactile feedback of trunk motion significantly improves balance stability in individuals with vestibular deficits and older adults. Recently we have developed a Mobile Instrument for Motion Instruction and Correction (MIMIC) that enables an expert (i.e. physical therapist) to map his/her movements to a trainee (i.e. patient) in a hands-free fashion. MIM...
متن کاملAge-related effect of visual biofeedback on human balance control
Real-time visual biofeedback (VBF) is a voluntary control mechanism of postural activity using additional visual information of the centre of pressure (CoP) position. The aim of the study was to examine balance control performance in subjects of different age during the stance on different support surfaces with and without VBF. The study was performed on 20 young and 13 older subjects during st...
متن کاملEffects of Visual Biofeedback Therapy on Postural Balance of Stroke Patients
Purpose: Postural balance deficit is one of the common post-stroke disabilities. Providing visual biofeedback while balance activities are performed is a way to improve postural balance disorders following stroke. But among the research published, there is incoherency about the positive effects of visual biofeedback therapy. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of usin...
متن کاملEffects of balance taping using kinesiology tape in a patient with moderate hallux valgus
BACKGROUND Hallux valgus, an increased angle of lateral deviation in the big toe, can cause pain and difficulties in balancing and walking. This study aimed to investigate the effects of balance taping using elastic therapeutic tape on moderate hallux valgus. METHODS When she walked with shoes, she complained of pain over the medial eminence of the hallux metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint. Bala...
